Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on 11/10/2008

Watch the Full Video Highlights from the Day 5 of the Final Test between India and Australia as a part of the Border Gavaskar Series from the Nagpur, where India lift the Trophy by winning the series 2 - 0 in the 4 Test Series in the Dada's Last Test. Brief Score : India 441 (Tendulkar 109, Ganguly 85, Sehwag 66, Laxman 64, Dhoni 56, Krejza 8-215) and 295 (Sehwag 92, Dhoni 55, Harbhajan 52, Watson 4-42, Krejza 4-143) beat Australia 355 (Katich 102, Hussey 90) and 209 (Hayden 77, Harbhajan 4-64, Mishra 3-27 ) by 172 runs.

That it happened in the same city where Australia famously conquered the final frontier four years ago was poignant. India regained the coveted Border-Gavaskar Trophy, their first series win over Australia in eight years, after they bowled Australia out for 209 to win by 172 runs. Australia lost by a difference of two Tests for the first time since their 3-1 defeat against West Indies in the Frank Worrell Trophy in 1988-89. Video Highlights | Day 4 | 4th Test | Border - Gavaskar Series | Nagpur

Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on 11/09/2008

Watch the Video Highights from the 4th Test between India and Australia's Day 4 from the Nagpur where Australia face stiff ask to level series. Brief Score : Australia 355 and 13 for 0 need another 369 runs to beat India 441 and 295 (Sehwag 92, Dhoni 55, Harbhajan 52, Watson 4-42, Krejza 4-143). It was almost farcical. If the session between lunch and tea had set up Australia's chances of squaring the Border-Gavaskar trophy, the third undid that in a puzzling manner.

Australia had decisively wrested back the momentum in a thrilling afternoon session, dislodging a century opening stand and then running through India's middle order, only to let it slip with some bizarre tactics in the final session. Jason Krejza became the 15th bowler - the fifth spinner - to take a ten-wicket haul in a match on debut. Watch Full Video Highlights from the 4th Test's 4th Day below :

Video Highlights | Day 3 | 4th Test | Border - Gavaskar Series | Nagpur

Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on 11/08/2008

Watch the Full Video Highlights from the Day 3 of the India Australia's Border Gavaskar Series from the final and 4th Test played at the Nagpur where Slowly but steadily India gain the edge Brief Score : India 441 and 0 for 0 lead Australia 355 (Katich 102, Hussey 90, Harbhajan 3-94) by 86 runs. India gained a crucial 86-run lead on an extremely tactical day's cricket - one that often resembled a cat-and-mouse game - through a triple-strike in the middle session and four wickets shortly before stumps.

Australia scored 166 runs in 85.4 overs, strangled by the pressure built up by defensive field placings and niggardly pace bowling in the morning, and the loss of the last seven wickets for 100 runs undid a strong platform. Mahendra Singh Dhoni changed his tactics after lunch, giving Australia the opportunity to be aggressive, but they failed to overtake India's 441. Video Highlights | Day 2 | 4th Test | Border - Gavaskar Series | Nagpur

Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on 11/07/2008

Watch the Full Video Highlights from the Day 2 of the Border - Gavaskar Series between India and Australia's 4th Test from the Nagpur where Jason Krejza went into lunch on the second day of the fourth Test at Nagpur on the verge of conceding more runs in an innings than any debutant in Test history. An hour later he had become only the fourth bowler to take eight wickets in his first Test innings. The Indian total of 441 should still be enough to secure them at least a draw – and with it the Border-Gavaskar Trophy – but at 422-5 their sights were set on 500 and beyond.

And although some of the gloss was taken off his efforts by the needless run-out of Matthew Hayden in the seventh over of Australia’s reply, Krejza’s curate’s-egg return of 43.5-1-215-8 helped keep his side in the series – just – as India’s last five wickets fell for 19 runs.. In the first match of this tour he finished with 0-199, at which point his first-class record amounted to 43 wickets at more than 50 apiece. After his first three overs as a Test player he’d conceded one six, four fours and 32 runs. Video Highlights | Day 1 | 4th Test | Border - Gavaskar Series | Nagpur

Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on 11/06/2008

Watch the Full Video Highlights from India and Austraila, 4th Test, Day 1 of the Border - Gavskar Series from the Nagpur where Sachin Tendulkar’s 40th Test hundred gave India the edge on the first day of the fourth and final Test at Nagpur, but his dismissal for 109 to Mitchell Johnson and the second new ball in the evening shadows will convince the Australians that their grasp on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has not been loosened irretrievably just yet.

But Johnson was to get his revenge. With his fifth delivery with the second new ball he nipped one back into Tendulkar’s pads and wrung a superb lbw decision out of Billy Bowden. It was left instead to Sourav Ganguly, playing his 113th and final Test, and the captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to steer India home. Australia, though, will know on this pitch that a first-innings score of less than 400 will give them a sniff. A fighting century from Michael Clarke gave Australia a strong chance of heading into the final Test with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy still theirs to defend as a draw appeared likely in Delhi. Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on 10/30/2008

Watch Online Full Highlights from India v Australia, 3rd Test, Feroz Shah Kotla, 2nd day where Laxman puts India in total control on October 30, 2008. Brief Score : Australia 50 for 0 (Katich 29*, Hayden 16*) trail India 613 for 7 dec (Gambhir 206, Laxman 200*, Johnson 3-142) by 563. VVS Laxman has piled on more than 2000 Test runs against Australia over the years and finished the innings with his second Test double-century. VVS Laxman tormented Australia with his second Test double-century and Gautam Gambhir registered his first as India batted themselves into an almost unconquerable position in the third Test. On the second successive day of complete Indian domination, Australia's greatest achievement was simply getting to stumps without losing a wicket.

But Matthew Hayden and Simon Katich were given a preview of the challenge that awaits them as the legspinners Amit Mishra and Anil Kumble spun a few deliveries viciously out of the footmarks that Australia's bowlers had created over nearly 12 hours in the field. The openers batted out 15 overs after Kumble delayed his declaration to allow Laxman to reach 200. Watch Online Full Highlight from India v Australia, 3rd Test, Feroz Shah Kotla, 1st day where Gambhir century sets India on course on October 29, 2008. Brief Score : India 296 for 3 (Gambhir 149*, Tendulkar 68, Laxman 54*) v Australia. Gautam Gambhir posted his highest Test score, and he did it against the world's No. 1 Test team at his home ground. When the Australians were running through a pre-series analysis of India's batting line-up they must have assumed the major threats would be the usual suspects: Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. But the back-to-back centuries have come from Gambhir, the least experienced man in the top order.

It took Gautam Gambhir nearly four years to make his second Test century having posted his first against Bangladesh in Chittagong; within nine days he has added a third. And if scoring two hundreds against the world's No. 1 Test team within a fortnight was not enough of a thrill, Gambhir can celebrate striking his highest Test score at his home ground and giving India an excellent start to a match that could deliver them the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Shane Watson, Australia's top-scorer, was one of Amit Mishra's five wickets .

Amit Mishra had to wait six years for his second call-up to the Test squad but the timing was nothing short of perfect and his performance the definition of heart. Handed a Test debut after Anil Kumble was ruled out by injury, Mishra, the 25-year-old legspinner from Haryana, picked up five wickets and spun Australia out for 268 to give India a 201-run lead. Shane Watson batted superbly for a career-best 78, the highest score in a disappointing Australian innings, but couldn't take his team past the follow-on mark. The Australians as so often in the past, once again found VVS Laxman standing in the way between them and victory in the first cricket Test here Monday. Laxman helped India hold on for a draw after being set a 299 run for victory in 83 overs. Laxman (42 not out) was assisted in his "Salvage Mission" by Sachin Tendulkar (49), who came within 15 runs of besting Brian Lara's Test aggregate of 11,953 runs, and Sourav Ganguly, who batted for over an hour for his unbeaten 26.Laxman walked into the cauldron when the resilient Gautam Gambhir (29) was castled by left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Johnson. The score card then read a bleak 77 for three, with Indians needing to play out 56 overs of the 83 they were given to chase a challenging 299 for an improbable win. Australia's cricket on the fourth day was not pretty but the final result - a 263-run lead - was a fine outcome on a day when India harassed them intensely in all aspects of the game. Led by Zaheer Khan with the bat in the morning and Harbhajan Singh with the ball in the afternoon, India fought and thought, tested and pestered, and still somehow found themselves facing a tough final-day chase. At least they shortened the odds of a draw. Watch the Extended Video Highlights from the Day 4 below :

Harbhajan Singh has a habit of irritating Australia, sometimes with the ball and sometimes with his confident talk. But after Mitchell Johnson's four strikes on the third day seemingly assured the visitors of a big first-innings lead, it was with the bat that Harbhajan provided Australia with a serious headache. They still had a 117-run advantage at stumps but Harbhajan's fighting 54 lit a spark that for two and a half days had been noticeably absent in the India camp. Watch the Full Extended Video Highlights from the Day 2 of the 1st Test between India and Australia from the Bangalore where Brief Score : India start well after Hussey's stubborn century | India 68 for 0 (Sehwag 43*, Gambhir 20*) trail Australia 430 (Hussey 146, Ponting 123, Katich 66, Zaheer 5-91, Ishant 4-77) by 362 runs. Michael Hussey built an impenetrable barrier of his own with a supremely focused innings of 146 that ensured an impressive total for Australia on the second day.

By the close, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir had made the visitors' 430 look a little less daunting and reduced the deficit to 362. It was a promising start from the openers, particularly the confident Sehwag, but the challenge will come on the third day. India will need to make certain their own wall is reinforced on a pitch that has held up but threatening to crack like a dry river bed. Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma did what they could to make use of the variable surface but undoubtedly, Australia had the best of the conditions by batting first. Posted by Malvinder Singh T Virdi on

Watch the Full Extended Video Highlights from the Day 1 of the 1st Test between India and Australia from the Bangalore from 9th Oct - 13th Oct, 2008 where Australia look to build on advantage. Brief Score Day I : Australia 254 for 4 (Ponting 123, Katich 66, Zaheer 2-39) v India.

Ricky Ponting erased 12 years of doubt over his record in India by striking a defiant century that gave Australia a marginal edge on the opening day in Bangalore. However, a late pair of wickets - Ponting departed for 123 and Zaheer Khan removed Michael Clarke in the final over - brought India back into the contest on what had until then been a frustrating day for the hosts. At the close Australia had reached 254 for 4 with Michael Hussey unbeaten on 46. Zaheer's final strike - he trapped Clarke plumb lbw for 11 - gave India's fans cause to cheer on the first day of Test cricket in the country since the frenetic and colourful IPL. The contrast between the game's longest and shortest formats was stark as Australia's batsmen spent most of the day grinding down the India bowlers.
